Giving Tuesday

November 28, 2022

GivingTuesday is a global movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

This year GivingTuesday comes one day before El Hogar celebrates the graduation of our 12th graders. These young men and women have pushed through so many difficulties in their lives and overcome so many challenges to bring them to this day—including the unprecedented hardships of virtual learning during the pandemic, and enduring two hurricanes last year. These nine graduates are bright, resilient, filled with hope and ready to leave the comforting walls of El Hogar and fulfill their potential as productive citizens and leaders of Honduras.

On this GivingTuesday when people all over the world come together to express their generosity towards important causes, we are asking the El Hogar community to join this movement in honor of our graduates.

Our goal is to generate 200 gifts by the end of the day to support the work of El Hogar and to celebrate the accomplishments of the young adults who have fought through so much in their lives and have emerged strong and confident.

Please make a gift before midnight tonight to honor El Hogar’s graduates and to join others around the world who make this day a day of hope and generosity.

Thank you for your continued support of El Hogar!
