Double your gift to El Hogar
December 28, 2022As 2022 comes to a close, we at El Hogar look forward to 2023
with hope and gratitude.
Earlier this month we watched with pride as our third class of 12th graders graduated. Nine young men and women, their faces full of hope as they continue their journey to adulthood and the world beyond El Hogar. They have come so far and overcome so much. We are grateful for the opportunity to have helped them along the way.
We are also deeply grateful to you, Andrea, and the many others who have supported El Hogar, kept us in your hearts and in your thoughts and helped make possible the journey that the El Hogar kids take to becoming independent and productive citizens of Honduras.
For so many small charitable organizations like ours, 2022 has been a difficult year. Whether it is the prospect of a looming recession, the pressures of inflation or the reality of a volatile stock market, 2022 has been financially challenging.
During this season of giving and hope it so important to reflect on the value of the work we do together and to recognize how privileged we are to partner with the staff who educate and care for these kids and their families and help make their lives better. What this year has clearly demonstrated, though, is how very fragile this work is and how much it depends on generous people like you to keep it all going.
So, to finish the year strong, and push against those economic headwinds, we are asking for your help. A generous friend of El Hogar has offered to match every gift dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $20,000 to help close our budget gap.
If you have already made your gift this year, we are deeply grateful and please consider making an additional gift to help close the year.
If you have not made a gift yet this year – the time is now! Please make a tax-deductible donation to El Hogar before midnight on December 31, double the impact of your gift and help us continue to provide a loving home, a quality education, and a brighter future to so many deserving children in Honduras.
Thank you for your continued support of El Hogar!
