Our Impact

El Hogar welcomes more than 250 students each year, equipping them with the education and support needed to thrive. Since 1979, over 1,200 students have graduated from our programs. Along with comprehensive academics and holistic care, El Hogar continues to surpass national averages in key measures of student success.
- Days in School: El Hogar ensures that students attend school year-round, with minimal interruptions, compared to the frequent disruptions in the public education system.
- High Attendance Rate: With a focus on student engagement and support, El Hogar maintains a consistently high attendance rate, well above the national average.
- Parental Involvement: We actively encourage and engage parents in their children’s education, fostering a strong partnership between families and the school. This level of involvement is significantly higher than what is seen in the public system.
- Retention Rate: Our students benefit from a supportive environment that prioritizes their emotional and academic growth, leading to high retention rates compared to other schools.
- Graduation Rate: El Hogar consistently achieves a graduation rate higher than the national average, demonstrating the effectiveness of our comprehensive approach.
- Post-Secondary Education: Graduates of El Hogar have higher-than-average attendance rates at post-secondary institutions, further solidifying the long-term success of our students.
Many of our students go on to pursue higher education or enter the workforce equipped with the skills and confidence to support themselves and their families. El Hogar’s long-term commitment ensures that the benefits of education extend beyond individual students to their communities, contributing to sustainable change in Honduras.
